Tea Kovačević, the pearl of tennis and the great hope of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will receive the support of the “5 Million Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina” association, which will support her development and international career.
The first step is the crowdfunding campaign that has just been launched, the goal of which is to collect funds for Tea’s participation in the upcoming tournaments in Belgrade and Dubrovnik. The association will actively work on expanding the crowdfunding campaign, and in parallel with that process, we will work hard to find donors and sponsors for this young hope of Bosnian tennis. We want to ensure that Tea gets the support and recognition it deserves, and that Bosnia and Herzegovina is present on the international tennis scene.
Tea Kovačević is a Bosnian tennis player, born in 2010 in Gradiška. She has been playing tennis since the age of two, and her father is her coach, with whom she trains three times a day on the court in the yard of their family home. She regularly performs and wins in tournaments for seniors. At the recent national championship in Mostar, she won the U16 category at the age of 12. Last year, she won the national tournaments for 12, 14 and 16 years and is one of the world’s best juniors in her category. So far, she has achieved victories at top world tennis competitions such as: Paris Bowl, France (3x champion); Rafael Nadal Academy, Spain (3x champion); Boris Becker Academy, Germany; Mouratoglou Academy, France; Lemon Bowl, Italy; Tennis Europe up to 12 years.
“My long-term goal is to get to the top of women’s tennis and put Bosnia and Herzegovina – the small country I come from – on the world tennis map!” – proudly emphasizes Tea. The costs of one tennis season amount to around 100,000 euros, which is a financial burden that Tea and her family cannot bear alone. Therefore, we invite everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the entire diaspora, to help Tea to raise the necessary funds so that she can further develop her exceptional talent.
