The 5 Million Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina (5MFBH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to creating a global network of individuals and organizations connected to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Free from political, religious, or ethnic connotations, our mission is to foster cooperation and strengthen relationships between Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, the European Union, and the global diaspora. Our goal is to support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s cultural, economic, and social development while advocating for its integration into the European Union.

We envision a robust, global network that connects Bosnia and Herzegovina to the world, promoting partnerships across sectors such as trade, tourism, culture, and sports. By uniting the diaspora and global supporters, 5MFBH aims to build bridges between Bosnia and Herzegovina and international organizations, fostering collaboration that strengthens both Bosnia and Herzegovina and its image abroad. Ultimately, we seek to highlight Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country of creative, resilient people contributing to global progress.

Strengthening and networking of the dispora and individuals without any political, national, or religious connotation and expanding the strategic partnership to diaspora organizations and individuals globally.

Strengthening the identity of BiH as a milestone in the cooperation and development of BiH. To create a sense of responsibility towards the homeland.
Cooperation
Cooperation, assistance, dialogue, and interaction to promote each individual, will result in strengthening the overall structure of the diaspora and create a basis for stronger and more effective action.
Moral Values
Nurturing and returning to the main values of BiH societies: selfless commitment to the welfare of the community, assistance, cooperation and support for self-determination, perseverance, orientation towards a common goal, and the value of work, as main characteristics of BiH individuals.
Our Goals
We have four primary strategic objectives:
Diaspora Network Expansion
Establish a comprehensive platform to unite Bosnian diaspora organizations and individuals globally, with planned membership from countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany, and beyond. The platform will foster collaboration across various sectors like information sciences, social sciences, medicine, culture, and more. Our goal is to highlight the contributions of Bosnians worldwide and promote knowledge transfer back to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Global Base of Supporters
Create a database of friends and supporters of Bosnia and Herzegovina who share our values. This platform will connect diaspora businesses, clubs, and international organizations, creating a strong network of 1,000+ professionals, cultural figures, and diplomats who can help improve Bosnia and Herzegovina’s global image and facilitate daily lobbying efforts.
Development Projects
Launch projects aimed at transferring knowledge and technology to benefit Bosnia and Herzegovina. These projects will enhance local society, preserve cultural heritage, and promote development across various sectors.
Bridging Bosnia and Herzegovina with Europe
Strengthen ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, and the European Union through cultural, tourism, and trade initiatives. We will also advocate for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s membership in the European Union and defend core European values.
